I am an award-winning photojournalist based in Malaysia. I am also the founder of Humans of KL, where I share incredible stories of people from all walks of life.
To date, Humans of KL has amassed a huge following of more than 140,000 followers, telling countless inspiring stories that has impacted 22 million people.
Starting in 2012, it wasn’t an easy start. I started alone, I didn’t have a team of photographers, and lived far from KL, so I could only take pictures on the weekends.
I remember how getting 5 likes was a challenge, 20 likes was an achievement, and still remember the first time HOKL received 200 likes!
But I persisted and little did I know that one day I would achieve something incredible: To have a permanent exhibit at Carcosa Seri Negara after the KL International Arts Festival, with the Minister of Federal Territories as our Guest of Honour was an honor!
Today, I juggle between a corporate life, spending my weekend cycling and finding the next big story for Humans of KL.

On February 2017, I had the honor to be invited as a speaker on Tedx to share my journey as a photojournalist, where I share stories of how photography combined with storytelling has the power to change the world.
I am incredible grateful to have worked with many incredible organizations and individuals – capturing their stories that moves hearts and nations. Based in Kuala Lumpur, I’m available for both national and international assignments.
